To the tune "Are You Sleeping Brother John"
Changing diaper, changing diaper
Lots of fun, lots of fun
You're no longer stinky!
You're no longer stinky!
Nice clean bum, nice clean bum
The changing table is a perfect place to sing-it can be distracting and when we sing we slow down allowing babies to hear the individual sounds in words which will help them get ready to read!
This one works best if baby is on their back or sitting on your lap facing away from you
One, two (bicycle legs)
Buckle my shoe (tap bottoms of feet)
Three, four (bicycle legs)
Shut the door (open and close legs)
Five, six (bicycle legs)
Pick up sticks (bring one leg up at a time as if kicking)
Seven, eight (bicycle legs)
Lay them straight (lay legs out in front)
Nine, ten (bicycle legs)
Begin again! (tickle)
These movements can help bring attention to the movement of your baby's lower body!
On the day you were born I felt my heart get a little bit bigger
On the day you were born I felt it swell, swell, swell
On the day you were born I felt my heart give a little giggle
And I knew it would be a better world
Your baby loves to hear you sing and singing soothing songs can help calm and relax your baby.
