The mittens on my hands
keep me warm, keep me warm, keep me warm
The mittens on my hands
keep me warm
all winter long.
*Other verses: boots, hat, see what YOU can come up with at home!
Five green and speckled frogs,
Sitting on a speckled log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.
Yum! Yum!
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were four green, speckled frogs! Glub! Glub!
Take away a frog each time you sing the song until you are out of frogs!
It's like when you blow bubble soap bubbles!
Hold up your index finger to make your "wand".
Breathe in through your nose.
Blow out gently through your mouth onto your "wand" and pretend we are blowing bubbles.
Do you have round colored cereal at your house? You can do all kinds of fun things with it at home! You can practice your colors by making a home-made sorting sheet with markers and paper and then sorting colors onto it or you can sort colors into a cupcake pan if you like. This is great for fine motor skillls (picking small things up) and great for color name recognition. Once you have sorted your colors, you can use the cereal to make some art! You just need some glue, construction or heavy paper, and cereal. The pictures can give you a starting point with ideas!
Tickle the clouds (put your arms over your head and wiggle your fingers)
Tickle your toes (touch your toes)
Now turn around
and tickle your nose! (tickle your nose)
Reach down low (touch your toes)
and reach up high (put your arms over your head)
Storytime's over
so wave good-bye! (give a wave)
